Oliver Perez is now either a $12 mil long man or lefty specialist. There is no way he can pitch in the late innings because he walks the ballpark. The Mets are just hoping they win or lose by 8+ runs a few times to give Perez some work. What a sad state of affairs!
The guy just has too many moving parts to be consistently effective. I would suggest that he find a consistent release point and go to the minors to work on it. Perhaps going to a higher slot may be more consistent. The sacrifice will be movement, but the Mets just can't afford the inconsistency for a 3rd straight year.

eh he did better than Wright and Pavano ever did for the yankees. But you would never criticize anything the yankees ever did wrong... you just are too biased towards them.
