Relax, AJ will not miss a start.
He was suspended for throwing up and in on Nelson Cruz in response to the recently waivered Vicente Padilla's beanball against Mark Teixeira.
Padilla is known for hitting players intentionally and the Teixeira beaning was clearly an example. To only fine Padilla and suspend AJ six games is ridiculous.
For this reason, AJ Burnett has appealed the suspension and it will be shifted to 4 games. That will allow him to not miss a start. Nonetheless, the principle is stupid! Peter Gammons called out the MLB office for being so dumb! This is another example of Cap't. Bud's awful management!
One note about today's game:
Wang needs to view this as a new season, starting today. Forget about the first 3 starts!
