There is the famous 72 blackout rule in the NFL. For the uneducated - teams must sell a game out at least 72 hours prior to a home game in order for that game to be seen in the home market.
The NFL said recently that it would post the game online after the Sunday night game so the home crowd of the blackout game could watch.
I would like to welcome the NFL to something called bootleg NFL games on the internet. Virtually any sports game can be watched live on a number of websites regardless of when or where the game is being played. In other words, Jaguars fans will be able to watch the game live.
The blackout rules have an impact, but in the internet age, trying to appease people by allowing them to watch an old game on the small screen is dumb. It's like taking a squirrel's big acorns and telling him he will get small acorns later. He can get small acorns now, he just wants the big ones!
