Apparently, Brandon Marshall is being closely looked at by the Jets. Josh McDaniels is trying to act like Bill Belichick in a similar fashion to Eric Mangini. These young Belichick guys need to remember that they have not won anything yet!
In any case, it clearly would help the Jets if they could pull in Marshall at a reasonable price. The help to Sanchez would be immeasurable because most teams don't have the cover guys to single team Marshall. Cotchery as a 2 makes the team far more dangerous as a passing team.
I'd put the odds of Marshall actually making it to NYC at very low because of comments made by the Broncos in response to the recent rumors. It was reported that the Broncos are said to be closely watching the situation to make sure the Jets don't commit any league violations in their assessment. That is not a comment that could create a relationship.
My guess is that Marshall stays in Denver.

According to ESPN the broncos would want Harris,
ReplyDeleteID do the deal bc Sanchez is gonna need a Target to throw to if hes gonna develop.
the defense is gonna suck anyway atleast till pace gets back. Its way overrated.
Just becuase Jets fans love David Harris, and rightfully so, doesn't mean Rex Ryan does. It's just like when Parcells came to the 'Boys and wanted to get rid of fan favorite Dat Ngyuen.
ReplyDeleteIn other news, figured this was the most surefire way of getting in touch with you, you gonna be able to text/IM/email your picks in since the draft is this Saturday night?
don't know why mcdaniels and mangini are compared to belichik in their behavior. while they seem to be incredibly talented at alienating their best players, who did belichik do that too? belichik may let ppl go when he thinks they are overpaid, but he doesn't piss off his stars just for kicks
