What The Heck Happened?
The problem is not only the offense (which is the typical issue with the Devils)
Marty Brodeur has been below average over the last nine games. He is 2-6-1 in those games and has given up at least 3 goals in 7 of the games.
The guy may have lost his edge since breaking the goalie wins record, but, cmon, you are Marty Brodeur and need to start showing up if the Devils want to get deep into the playoffs.
The Devils must get out of this funk (at least Marty has to get out of it) before the end of the season (next 2 games) or the Devils are in serious trouble.
They already gave up the 2 seed, but the time has come to start showing up!

The Devils are just doing whatever it takes to avoid playing the Rangers in the 1st round.
ReplyDeleteAll goalies have funks like this. Hopefully Marty's will be endnign just in time for the playoffs
