I sure know who will be DHing when the Mets play in AL parks during interleague play! Daniel Murphy is just a really bad defensive player. This is at least the second game that he lost in the outfield with a horrific play.
As a major leaguer, a ball right at your is a challenge, but should certainly be made.
What to do about Murphy in left?

Stick with him. David Wright was brutal at 3B when he came up, and although he still makes lazy errors, he's gotten much better. Murphy will never be Barry Bonds out there (the pre-Steroids, pre-1998 Bonds that is) but he should be a servicable player. Keep his confidence up, he's still hitting. And its not like the Mets have a better option.
