As the rough luck for the Mets continues, Luis Castillo was injured tonight when he sprained his ankle. The serious of the sprain is still in question; however, with his style game, Castillo may miss some time.
Although Castillo has been on the bad side of Mets fans since Omar Minaya gave him one of the dumber contracts ever. That being said, Castillo has played well all year and contract-blind, he has certainly done his job.
The Met season is over so this doesn't matter in the scheme of things, so perhaps Met fans should view this positively in that the injuries should all be had this season so next year can be a healthy one in Queens.
