Brendan Shanahan, the 40 year old former Ranger, Devil ect. has returned to the team that drafted him.
Shanahan said today that he has agreed in principal to a deal with the Devils. What he does for the Devils is add to the energy level that has felt like the players have been more focused on picking their noses during games instead of trying to score goals.
Realistically, Shanahan will not provide serious goal scoring for the remainder of the season; however, his quick shot and savvy should help in some way.
Yaros
eventhough shanahan has lost a ton of speed, he still has incredible decision making especially in the defensive zone and on the power play is a presence in front of the net-he is 6-3 after all and is always on top if the goalie - something the rangers lack but they have a dumb--- running the show there anyway.
ReplyDeleteHey Yaros, I was wondering if your doing anything tommorow, Ive got front row tickets to the giant game tommorow, its only available to you and tommorow. anyway just kidding mazal tov.
ReplyDeleteShanahan is the type of player the rangers need, they couldve resigned him the rest of the year, a phyisical veteran, one of my favorite NHL players ever, and a lock to get into the hall of fame right away.
I'm old enough to remember Shanahan with the Devils. I was dissapointed when they lost him. But the compensation turned out to be pretty good....NUMBER FOUR!
