The Eagles Lost Because...

There are 2 very basic reasons the Eagles lost today.

-McNabb missed a whole bunch of throws to open receivers. One play sticks out in my mind in particular - McNabb was blitzed and a blocker released over the middle. McNabb's pass was poor and the receiver caught the ball; however, had the pass been good, the play would have been an easy touch down.

-A lot of passes were dropped. The Eagles are known for having poor wide outs, today is a classic example of how a go-to target could make the difference in a game.

-Two Words. Larry Fitzgerald. As Mike Francesa said this morning, this is a game of strength vs. strength. The Eagles secondary vs. the Cardinals passing game. Warner to Fitzgerald won that matchup.

If the Cardinals play like they did in the first half in the Super Bowl, they will be a tough matchup.
