My Stomach Hurts!

...But they won! This could have been the worse loss in a long while. Some really dumb coaching decisions, some really dumb passes, a really dumb special teams play and a really bad kick would have all combined to allow a pathetic team with little offensive and absolutely no defensive talent to beat the Jets.

Run the ball! If you play to win the game, not lose it, then run the ball against the worse rushing defense on earth. If you are setting up the run by throwing in the first series, then run in the second series. The Jets barely ran the ball.

Leon Washington is the savior for this team because he makes at least 3 big plays a week. Obviously the 2 touchdowns are big, but so were the many returns he made this week. He also had a clutch dive for a first down after dodging a tackle. His ability to explode after breaking a tackle is quite amazing!

The defense was superb against the run (as usual) and bad against the pass. Bad, as in inconsistent. They have their excellent moments and then they look like they are in high school for a drive. It is troubling, but hey, they are young and have talent.

Favre, easy does it on the dumb passes pal. The last one was not his fault, but the first 2 (especially the second one thrown deep into double coverage) were awful.

But at least they won!

By the way, this one really made me lose some hair!

  1. You mean the worst loss since last week? Favre has his moments which remind us why we got him. And then other moments where he looks like a rookie!

  3. No one should make fun of Favre, you should feel privalidged that such a SB winning quarterback of his level is giving his services to your second class team. Everyone knows he would rather play for other teams but he feels bad for the jets and he came to them anyway. He knows he wont win a sb with the jets since the jets dont do superbowls. The 40 on their jerseys today represented the number of years since they won. Its a shame brett is going out this way. He should pull a Bill Belichek and announce a press conference tommorw and say "I hereby resign as QB of the NYJ"

  4. jets look like a classic 8-8 team this year, like many analysts predicted.

before the season i was pumped thinking that we had a real shot at it this year. well, to my dismay all the scouting reports i looked at put the jets near .500.

After the last 2 games i see why...

  5. the jets need a QB they can rely on for the next decade not a 39 year old good QB whose best years are in his rear view mirror.
