A Rare NHL Comment!

The Rangers and Devils appear to be the 2 teams to beat in the Atlantic division. The Devils got off to a very rough start a year ago, but are playing in mid-season form at this point. Some questioned whether Marty Brodeur would reach Terry Sawchuk's nearly 40 year old shutout record. Marty already has 2 through 6 games and only needs 5 more to catch Sawchuk.

The Rangers have been just okay since returning from Europe (2-2-1), but may be experiencing the syndrome many teams deal with after playing games in such a different time zone. The 4 day break they are in the midst of will likely help them dearly.

  1. while i think the rangers are primed for a solid season, if they have any hopes of doing major damage in the playoffs they must get a top six forward ASAP. They cant expect to win by lundqvist stopping 50 shots every game. if they think voros is gonna score 40 goals this season they have another thing coming.

where that forward is coming from i have no clue - shanahan is not the answer because he is a thirdline at best winger at this point.

while the devils will always be the devils as long as they have brodeur back there, i still dont buy their offensive capabilities.

look out for pittsburgh as crosby is primed for a break-out.

buffalo remains hot as vanek continues to rip it up.

  2. The devils had a great offseason and the rangers...didnt....

They have benefitied from playing mroe games than any other team.

The penguins until really proven otherwise are the team to beat even though they are missing there top two dman and hossa.

The rangers need a physical forward and defenseman, they miss jagr and puting drury and gomez is a mistake, i actually think shanahan is a start. they shouldve resigned avery as stupid as he is. They should look to a guy like brenden witt on the isles to fill the d hoke although the isles will never do a trade with the rangers.

Which player Yaros do u think the rangers should get. Also u never gave a cup prediction... your lagging behind on your hockey yaros...

  3. off the derech - while i think the loss of jagr was big in terms of losing offensive firepower i dont think thats what the problem is. drury has done literally nothing this year. naslund is ok just that they need someone else upfront. and the d ill take over the devils corps any day. and dont get too excited over holik and rolston
