In advance of the July 31st trade deadline, the A's and the Cardinals have reportedly made a deal sending Matt Holliday to the Cardinals for a bunch of prospects.
For Holliday, the switch back to the weaker NL should increase his production (wahoo, fantasy points for me!)
This helps the Yankees over the next couple of few days because the terrible A's lineup has just got even worse!

MLB should either figure out how to help the perenially weak teams: WN, KCR, PP, and lately OA. a 2 tier league is not optimal. the current tax system is not working.
