Some may completely disagree, but, I think it would have been best for Mets COO Jeff Wilpon to just shut his mouth.
Everyone, including Minaya himself, disagreed with Minaya's dumb comments towards Adam Rubin.
Jeff Wilpon is just giving the incident more legs.
The Mets NEED to get this story off the back pages of New York papers and off the headlines of national sports websites (in this case Yahoo!Sports) and it only reappeared because of Wilpon's comments.
The Mets have now won 4 games in a row and no one cares because Omar Minaya thinks Adam Rubin has a vendetta against his buddy Tony Bernazard.
Perhaps if Omar realized that the issues K-Rod, Billy Wagner and Johan Santana (among others) had with Bernazard are of more significance than anything to do with Adam Rubin, he would have fired the guy long before and would have a better shot at keeping his job after this season.
Too Late Omar! (The only reason he may stay on is financial - Hello Bernard Madoff!)
