Who Is Pat Roessler?

It is just not fair! Just so you know, Pat Roessler is the man in charge of player development for the Yankees.

HERE HE IS CHATTING IT UP WITH A-ROD IN MID-APRIL WHILE A-ROD WAS REHABBING IN TAMPA.

His job is to ensure the solid development of the Yankees' prospects and he is one of Brian Cashman's go-to guys on baseball operations advice. There is seldom a news story about him, no one knows his name - that is unfair. The guy cares more about the team than himself and he keeps a low profile for the sake of Yankees.

Guess who cares more about himself than anyone else? Guess who wants to be the next guy in line to replace a fired GM? Guess who is clueless about his place in his organization? Tony Bernazard!

Tony Bernazard can't stay out of the news. He fights with players (Billy Wagner and Johan Santana to name a couple) and challenges his AA squad to a fight! He has a wild temper and he is considered the guy who got Willie Randolph fired. Many believe he is part of the schism between the Latin and non-Latin players that was evident in the Mets clubhouse in past years.

Tony Bernazard deserves to lose his job ... TODAY!

I was going to add a picture of Bernazard to go along with the picture of Pat Roessler; however, I declined to do that because Bernazard has managed to get his picture into the paper numerous times and Pat Roessler deserves to stand alone atop the mountain of media attention today!

  1. Wow. I had no idea what Pat was up to. I first met him in grade school. I played little league ball with him. Went to highschool and had a class with him my Junior year. Then sophomore year at the U of Arizona, we lived in the same apartment complex. Those baseball players threw some wild parties back then. He was a heck of a hitter.
