Delgado to Stay a Met! Moose a Yankee Next???

I think the Yankees should do to Mike Mussina what the Mets just did for Carlos Delgado. Reward an aging star for his stellar and surprising season. Both players deserve to play another year in NY. Delgado has shown that if his timing is in order he can still hit an inside fastball (this year he has had a propensity for monster days at the plate - multiple homers and 6+ RBIs).

Moose will have the opportunity to help Ian Kennedy - a pitcher who must pitch in Mussina's new style to have success with a weaker fastball.

  1. the yankees shud go with younger players than Moose. they shud spend their $ in the FA mkt and let Moose go.

  2. I think the Yankees should go with the evertalented duo of Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy. You might think they had a bad year, but there Yankees they cant be bad. They will each win 20 games next year by the fact they are yankees.

Clearly Cashman is the best GM in baseball history. He knew Santana wouild have a bad year only having 12 wins and it was a genious move keeping those two sure thing prospects and the best 5th OFer (on a NY team in the AL) in baseball in Melky Cabrera.

Hughes and Kennedy if they were on the Red Sox (who have only won 2 world series since 1919) they might not be that good, but since they are on the yankees... they might as well rename the Cy Young award the Phil Hughes award
