I hate it when the Jets and their fans get ahead of themselves! This was a fantastic victory and everyone should be proud that the Jets knocked off a 10-0 team; however, the Jets are not good enough to look past any team in the league. Remember, this is a team that lost to the Raiders a few weeks ago.
A couple of game points -
-Leon does it again...and again! It is absolutely outrageous how good he is. He continuously impresses week after week. I think he should be a Pro Bowler (as a special teams player) and I think he will easily make it!
-There were a couple of cheap penalties that the Jets benefited from on the game's last drive. However, Jeff Fisher had absolutely no right to complain after his team got embarrassed on the field.
-The injury to Albert Haynesworth (the only DT in football that can compete in both an eating and run stuffing competition with Mr. Wilfork and Mr. Jenkins) really hurt the run stopping of the Titans.
The bottom line is that this was not a fluke game which the Jets happened to get lucky to win. This game was not even close and the Jets need to be recognized as a really good team. The Titans are obviously not as good as they thought they were (but most people thought they were not as good as their record) and we really walloped. This game is not comparable to the Giant loss to Cleveland unless the Titans go on to win their next 3+ games.
Congrats to the Jets!

the jets from the oakland game are a much different team then the jets team right now cannot compare the 2.
ReplyDeleteI see some similarities to last year's Giants team. The Jets looked AWFUL vs san diego, oakland, and even in that lousy home win vs KC. Same with the Giants last year in some of their embarssing home losses - Minnesota and Washington come to mind. But then the Giants - like this years Jets - seem to hit their stride and click. Hopefull with the same ending :-)
ReplyDeleteJets have a real leader in Farve. Hope he holds up for the rest of the season.
ReplyDeleteAs to Tom Brady, ar ethe pats such a good team that anyone-- even a high scholl QB who wouldnt atart in college -- can succeed? Basically is Cassels tainting Brady's legacy?
