Biggest Trade in Jets History?

The answer is probably not. Who was? The Jets, headed by former Pats coach Bill Parcells, traded for Curtis Martin who was a key member of the team for years to come.

  1. Yeah, but what did he ever lead them to? Even if Favre only stays one season, he could lead the Jets to more than they ever accomplished with Martin. Or they could go nowhere this season. Point is, we just don't know yet...

  2. Valid. Martin did lead the team for a number of years. But true...although the Jets never win anything so winning is not really the pre req for a successful trade for the Jets :(

  3. Keep in mind the Jets are a losing franchise. When the best your team can say is "Remember when we went to the 1998 AFC Championship game just to lose badly to the Broncos, those were the glory days."

My issue with Jet fans in general, (not anyone in particular) is that they act like they win every year, when theyve done very little the past 40. I hope Favre knows hes going to a losing franchise. They could make the playoffs but they got favre to replace noodle arm so they can go further like the SB. If he doesnt do it, in this particular case its not enough and it would be a faliure.
