To update the previous story, Jeff Karstens has come flying back to earth having lost his last 3 starts in a row. Finally, the Yankees did not undervalue a pitching prospect.
In other news, A-rod has grounded into more than double his double play total of the first 92 games (4) in his last 19 games (9). Tonight's, with the bases juiced and 1 out, was a biggie. A big one against Boston gives his haters more fodder. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to handle the number of complaints about A-Rod tonight on the radio if the Yankees lose.

Karstens was lightning in a bottle. When the Yanks called him up the first time, he was very good, and then came back to earth. Any pitcher can put together a nice run, but we all knew this was going to happen.
