ESPN is reporting that Brett Favre will become a Jet in exchange for a draft pick. So much for getting Jeff Garcia.
Anyway, I read earlier that it would be a conditional 4th rounder, going up in value based on Favre's performance. For that low a pick the deal is a good one for the Jets because the risk is low. This would presumably send Pennington to the Vikings.
The biggest issue with this deal is that Bristol, Connecticut is not too far from Hofstra/East Rutherford. That means that Rachel Nichols will join Wendie Nix on the lets hunt Brett Favre bandwagon. That may make the virtually unwatchable Sports Center completely unbearable.
Well, who knows if this is true. If it is, Bon Voyage Chad...your better days are way way way behind you, but you seem like a nice dude, so good luck dinking and dunking elsewhere. If its not, then ignore this post and assume I'm still on the Jeff Garcia train.
