Okay, now we can officially end his season. Once he gets off the crutches and out of the boot, he will need serious rehab because he has likely lost almost all the muscle mass in his foot and ankle. He will essentially need to relearn how to walk (not as harsh as that sounds, but certainly takes a few weeks). His season is no doubt done.
Note: Matsui may be back from rehab by Tuesday. He homered for single A Tampa on Friday.
