Brett Favre will only be successful with the Jets if...Coles and Cotchery extend the field. Dustin Keller, a Jets first round draft pick, looks impressive at camp and plays like a very large receiver (in the mold of Kellen Winslow Jr.) running the seam routes. But Coles and Cotchery sprinting down the sidelines will enable Favre to extend the defense. Coles used to have break away speed (4.31 in the 40); however, he is getting old for a football player (30) and has probably lost a step. Cotchery is more of a possession receiver. Both wide outs are indeed very good, but if they can spread the field a bit, the O-line will be able to create bigger holes for Thomas Jones and the running game.
