The method is simple - wait him out! The guy threw 95 pitches - 49 strikes and 46 balls. That awful ratio puts batters in hitters' counts and puts a lot of guys on base. The Yankees absolutely dominated Mr. Cabrera because they didn't press and allowed him to beat himself.

Just curious: How r the Dodgers and RSox doing after their trade of OFs?
ReplyDeleteYou actually make a very good point - Red Sox are playing at a .667 clip since the trade (14-7) while the Dodgers are 11-13 since the trade. Manny has not hit well as of late and getting swept by Philly didn't help the Dodgers in their chase of the D-Backs.
