A few Yankee notes:
-the Yankees may have had the most unlikely combination of occurrences in one game ever- First, they actually won the game. Second, Rivera blew a save. Third, A-rod actually hit a big homer.
-Marte has been so bad as a Yankee he is on the road to being relegated to Farnsworth status - which is the low of the low in my book.
-Xavier "X marks the spot" (John Sterling made that up - I'm sure all of you are thinking, 'ah no wonder it is so cheesy, it was the second worst announcer in baseball history who made it up. After all, he did also make up "the melk-man delivers") By the way, the worst announcer is Susan Waldman - a hell of a tandem in that booth. Back to Mr. Nady, he has been spectacular - nice tack-on homer tonight.
-Justin Christian back in his role as pinch runner did his job well tonight.
-Hopefully Jeter's foot won't kill his base stealing they way his bad wrist has hurt his batting average this year.

ReplyDeleteJeter was awesome last night, 3-3 after he got hurt (not just saying that as an excuse to pimp jeterchrist.blogspot.com). He's not playing today but should hopefully be back Friday.
ReplyDeletemy apologies rapps for not appeasing you and your need for Moose comments. He pitched solid - bla bla bla boring.
