As Michael Phelps ended his dominant run, the Olympic coverage now shifts to the track where Americans are less likely to dominate. The steroid era is now over as "the Clear" has been ousted from sports and the likes of Marion Jones and Co. sit in jails and at home moping around of what would have been if it were not for Mr. Conseco.
The U.S. women did not meet expectations in some of the relays; however, you have to give props to Dara Torres, who at 41 nearly won a gold in the 50m freestyle (lost by .01 seconds).
Phelps victory on Friday night was remarkable and showed he was able to come back, even in his worst event (100m Butterfly). No need for me to give props to him, his God given talent (his perfect body-type for swimming reminds me of the comments I heard as a little kid about how Karl Malone is the perfect power forward. As is evident from his supreme dominance over the swimming world, the same applies to Phelps when it comes to a swimming body).
